VSM Entertainment invites you to unleash your creativity this summer with CREATIVITY UNLEASHED! Your “not so ordinary” 2008 Summer Camp!
If you are bored with the same old summer activities, then come for a week of adventure into your creative side. This year’s camp will include a wide variety of activities to discover and improve your artistic talents in the areas of drama, modeling, art, photography, writing, directing/producing, and…move over Chef Duff….. cake decorating! WHEN?
Week 1: June 16-20, Mon-Thur hours are 10-2, Fri 10-12.
Week 2: July 14-18, Mon-Thur hours are 10-2, Fri 10-12.
WHERE?
Hurstbourne Christian Church, Hurstbourne Parkway
COST: $225 per child, $200 for siblings; Includes lunches, snacks, and all supplies
MINIMUM number of students per camp: 10; Max 15-20. There will be 2 instructors per camp with guest speakers.
Upon completion of this camp, each child should have acquired the following skills:
DRAMA: Basics for stage and video, how to direct and produce a stage play and video, how to costume characters, how to build and paint flats.
MODELING: Basic modeling techniques for camera, and completion of a photo session.
WRITING: The elements of a story, developing a story, how to write a short screenplay.
PHOTOGRAPHY: How to compose and create good photographs, what is “depth of field?” and how to use it, lighting basics BONUS: if time allows, we will develop a roll of that outdated stuff called film and given a demonstration on how to print a photo.
DRAWING/PAINTING: Basic techniques, perspective.
CAKE DECORATING: Basic icings, piping & flowers.
To gain the most benefit from the camp, students will be expected to:
- Follow instructions
- Treat others with respect
- Be on their best behavior
- Complete any assignments given both in session and at home.
To not do so will not only affect their own personal gain from the instructions but will also be damaging to peers they are working with who are depending on them.
