About Vin Morreale, Jr.
Vin Morreale Jr. is an award-winning director, producer, writer, actor and acting teacher. Vin is president of VSM Productions, a Louisville-based company which develops award-winning advertising and entertainment projects for film, video and television.
VSM Productions recently released their first feature-length movie, a romantic comedy entitled, Breaking & Entering. The movie premiered to a sold-out house of more than 2,164 at the Louisville Palace Theatre, earning the biggest box office for a single showing of any movie ever shown in the Southeast.
Vin has sold material to network television and national cable networks, and has had eleven film scripts placed under option contracts with various producers.
His comedy material has been broadcast on radio stations nationwide. He is a co-founder of the San Francisco Playwright's Center, the Senseless Bickering Theatre, and a member of Louisville's Cherokee Roundtable.
He has written, directed or produced numerous documentaries and educational videos, including the internationally acclaimed, six-hour series The PGA of America's Complete History Of Golf, The Kentucky Derby Collector's Showcase, Rand McNally's "Central Florida", Altered Visions - The Dan Rhema Story, as well as the Telly Award-winning performance documentary entitled, The Louisville Ballet's "Cinderella".
He has helped craft more than 400 corporate videos and commercials for hundreds of clients, such as IBM, GE, Sears, Lilly and more.
To date, he has written thirty-six stage plays, including many in print with national publishers. His work has been given more than 700 productions throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia. His book on theatre, Burning Up The Stage - Monologues, Short Scenes and Audition Pieces For Actors From Six To Seventy, is sold world-wide through Dramatic Publishing and Amazon.com. His newest play, ALL MY PASSIONS premiered to enthusiastic Louisville audiences. His latest published plays, Nicky's Secret and the classic adaptation, House of the Seven Gables, were added to the Dramatic Publishing catalogue this year.
As an actor Vin has appeared in hundreds of commercials, video and low-budget feature films, in addition to being Al Pacino's stand-in & double in THE INSIDER. Over the years, he has performed on stage, radio and TV from Boston to San Francisco. Along with his nationally know Burning Up The Stage performance workshops, Vin is the primary acting coach for the Alix Adams Modeling Agency, and has taught both acting and scriptwriting from elementary school through college level. He is also one of Kentucky's leading casting directors for film, TV and stage, with an actor's list that reaches into seven states across the Southeast and Midwest.
