Casting for New Web Series in Los Angeles
Yvonne Clark and 2LD Productions, in association with VSM Entertainment, is casting for a new web series entitled RUTHLESS WHEN NECESSARY, based on the original stage play by Vin Morreale, Jr. The series will be shot this summer in Los Angeles, California.
Reminiscent of SLEUTH, with its dark suspense and surprising plot twists, this five-part web series, directed by Antonio Scarpitta, will be an impressive showcase for two strong and versatile actresses.
Logline: An ad on Craig's List promises a large payoff for someone who can be 'Ruthless, when necessary.' But both the mysterious woman who placed the ad, and the seemingly innocent applicant may be more ruthless than either one suspects.
DANIELLE, 20s to early 30s.
CARRIE, late 30s to late 40s.
Wide age ranges, because we are willing to adjust for the right talent.
Because of multiple other productions, the web series will audition in early May, rehearse in late June, and shoot over one weekend in early July.
This will be a two-day, non-union production with nominal pay. However, the roles will continue in two additional seasons, which together comprise Vin Morreale's THE CARRIE VARIATIONS, which recently premiered at The Alley Theater in Louisville, KY. See attached sides the first two episodes.
